After months of debating of whether to SC my car or not, I decided to go through RMS to supercharge it. They put in the Vortech V2 SQ Supercharger. Its only at 6psi right now. I doubt i'll increase it at this time. I'm satisfied with the performance for now...Max Power magazine did a tech article on the install of this kit in the Aug 2000 issue.
At the same time a friend & myself made a set of carbon fiber engine & injector covers. We made the mold out of the original parts & modified them to suit our needs.I did'nt want it to be the same shape & design of the stock covers. They came out perfect. So far the have withstood the test of time & heat. No warping or discoloration. The aluminum inserts were custom made to hold down the covers. We also did one in carbon kevlar. Check out the pic of it. I wanted something different so I decided to go with the K28 style rims made by Kinesis. I've been very pleased with these rims. It does'nt bottom out often unless I have a heavy load but i'll probably change the springs to the H&R sport springs instead which will raise it back up a bit. The Bridgestone tires stick extremely well.
Apollo Auto Trim I went to see Dave at Apollo to help out with my interior needs. He suggested that I go with a violet suede material with gray stitching. I reupholstered a set of 98 stock sport(vader)seats, the ebrake boot & the shift boot. The work came out excellant & clean. It did'nt take them long to have the work completed & in time. Call them for all your upholstery needs.
